Gourmet on the Go

Time for our next fundraiser. We are super lucky to have received the donation of time by 2 chefs to help prepare a menu and dinner for you guys for Friday July 13th.

So here is the description of the lovely meals they have for you one meat and one vegan (and gluten free!)option. The desert comes with both:

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad

Fresh Romaine lettuce served with a traditional Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese and homemade lemon garlic croutons topped with a savory herb grilled breast of Chicken.

Curried Wedding Lentils

A mildly spicy vegan/gluten free dish featuring Masoor lentils gently simmered in coconut cream and spices. Served over rice and accompanied by a side of cold cucumber and onion salad.

Dessert

Decadent and delicious chocolate brownie topped with a swirl of homemade chocolate ganache.

All dinners must be ordered and prepaid. If you are interested please order now, because we will have to do the shopping and preparation and will need to know the numbers. You can pay via paypal below or if you want to pay cash or check we can make arrangements. Paypal does not give you as many ordering options as I would like. Thus you will have to place each desired order separately. Or please contact me with what you want and I can send a bill via paypal to you. It will be much easier.

Pick up time is from 5-6:30. Pick up at 405 w. 32nd st. Pull up, give us the name the order is under and we will bring your food to you! For questions please e-mail learningtreeacademyrva@gmail.com

Who We Are

We originally started with the idea of making this a 5 day
cooperative. However, for this year at
least, we have decided that the advantage of having such a small class allow
for faster coverage of the material.
Switching to a 3 day cooperative allow for more time for additional
field trips, enrichment and even just plain old play.

The concept of Learning Tree was bringing together the best of
what homeschooling, private schools and public school offer. You have built in peer interaction of the public
school, tied with the small class size of private school, enhanced by the hands
on involvement of homeschooling. We
realized if every parent agreed to help staff the school, from library runs to
teaching music (if they were so talented) we could focus resources on hiring a
teacher, field trips, curriculum and library books. As a cooperative,
cost is distributed equally among all parents, as are responsibilities. It is truly "YOUR" school.

Our space has an art room, music room and even a library. The
maximum class size will allow for a 10:1 student teacher ratio. And most of the time the teacher will have a
parent volunteer to help break children out into groups.

We also offer an opportunity for those satisfied with the
education aspect of homeschooling to just join us for the enrichment part of the day.

We understand this is a whole new model that provokes a lot
